Position overview 

The Executive Officer, will work closely with the Office of Dean, Higher Degree Research in achieving the strategic and operational goals of the University. The successful applicant will be supported to broaden their experience and horizons through working across a diverse range of activities including management of university-wide Committees, and substantial contributions to key portfolio projects including reporting, review, and implementation.

The Executive Officer will lead projects in the portfolio, working closely with other members of the University Executive, other Executive Officers in the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, with senior staff of the University, and key groups and stakeholders external to the University and act as an effective liaison point with members of the university community and external stakeholders.

To be effective in this role, you will possess experience in providing strategic planning advice to senior management, highly developed organisational and interpersonal skills and have a demonstrated understanding of challenges facing the Australian higher education sector and/or university operations.
