Salary package: $127,442.00 per annum plus 17% Superannuation

The ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) is one of the premier engineering and computer science research institutions in the world. CECS collaborates on research projects with government departments (federal and state) and multinational corporations, helping to accelerate research and development programs and to introduce new technologies to the marketplace.
The College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) Engagement Team exists to promote, support and foster better outcomes for our community both within and outside the College. Services delivered by the Engagement team enable better collective outcomes and contribute to the overarching (College-wide) strategy objectives.

Under the broad direction of the College General Manager, the Service Leader (Engagement) works in collaboration with senior staff in the College and its academic and service units. The Service Leader Engagement liaises closely with the College Dean, College General Manager, Deputy and Associate Deans, and Heads of academic units regarding engagement in the College. The Service Leader, and staff in the Engagement team also work closely with the wider ANU to build professional relationships and advance the University’s Engagement capability to create an environment that supports staff and students in the pursuit of excellence. The Service Leader (Engagement) also represents the College in the development of University policies and procedures, and in engagement with a wide range of stakeholders.
The Service Leader is responsible for the outcomes of their teams, including the day to day operation, future strategy and teams within. The context of the role is to provides high quality service to stakeholders in the College community and its stakeholders.
The Service Leader Engagement is responsible for the proactive and effective leadership of the Engagement function for the college. The Service Leader Engagement will:
- Lead, coach, and develop their people to create high-performing teams,
- Ensure the delivery of excellent Engagement outcomes to clients and stakeholders, advancing the College’s and University’s overall capability and strategic goals, and,
- Build strong and collegial relationships with the College community and the wider University.
To excel in this role you will have experience in communication, engagement strategies, or business development roles and will demonstrate:
- A passion for developing teams
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A drive to innovate and implement plans
- A commitment to collaboration, consultation and inclusion
