Salary package: $73,309 - $92,015 per annum plus 17% superannuation

The ANU College of Science (CoS) comprises: the Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics, the Research School of Biology, the Research School of Chemistry, the Research School of Earth Science, the Fenner School of Environment and Society, the Mathematical Sciences Institute, the Research School of Physics, and the Centre for the Public Awareness of Science. This position is located within the Research School of Chemistry working in the Catalyst Design research lab under the supervision of Dr Annie Colebatch. The primary focus of the position will be investigating the synthesis, reactivity and catalytic application of cooperative, bimetallic transition metal complexes. In particular, investigating their use as homogeneous catalysts for (de)hydrogenation reactions of liquid organic hydrogen carriers for chemical hydrogen fuel storage.
The successful candidate will have made progress towards, or completed a PhD in chemistry. Experience in air-sensitive synthetic chemistry is essential; experience in catalysis and X-ray crystallography is not essential, but would be an advantage.
