Position overview

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated and enthusiastic procurement professional to join the Australian National University's Procurement and Contract Office (UPCO). 

The Governance & Performance Manager will conceive, plan and implement initiatives that lead to best practice procurement within the procurement team and across the University, delivering greater efficiencies and compliance to the University’s procurement practices.

This is a change leadership and customer focused role, with the overall aim of undertaking initiatives that identify gaps, inefficiencies or poor practice with respect to the University’s procurement activities, and then either conceiving or implementing process improvements, or educating and influencing change. To be effective in the capacity, the Governance and Performance Manager should become well versed in best practice procurement and procurement policy and practice across the University. A key attribute for success will be that they are comfortable proactively engaging the Divisions and Colleges to understand, improve and influence practices.

To be successful in this role you will require high calibre communication and engagement skills, extensive knowledge of best practice procurement processes, a genuine commitment to value creation and the ability to deliver high quality outcomes.
