ANU has an international reputation for research and education relevant to the health and well-being of the population of Australia, as well as that of the developing world. This is achieved through discovery research, applied research in health service settings, research-led teaching in health and medical sciences, and the translation of research findings into practice and policy. The ANU College of Health and Medicine comprises the School of Medicine and Psychology, the John Curtin School of Medical Research and the National Center for Epidemiology and Population Health. These schools work together to deliver world-class research and education across the spectrum of medicine and health-related fields, working in partnership with the health sector at local, national and international levels.
The Rural Administration Officer works under the general direction of the Rural Education Coordinator (Southern), Rural Clincial School and is responsible for local coordination of the rural program to students on placement in general practices and health facilities in their rural location. This position supports local academic staff and liaises with a number of stakeholders in the rural program including local general Rural Clinical School community, practitioners, specialists and community health centres, and teaching staff. The position forms part of the Rural Clinical School team to deliver the rural program and student placements in Bega, Cooma, Cowra,Young, Eurobodalla and Goulburn. The position will maintain a close working relationship with students, academic and professional staffing within the School, the College and the wider University. This position is located in Eurobodalla.
