Position overview

Are you experienced in managing Freedom of Information requests and looking to enhance your team leadership skills in a diverse organisation? The Australian National University is seeking a skilled FOI practitioner to manage the University‚Äôs FOI program including case management, engaging internal and external stakeholders, and preparing decision documentation. Reporting to the Associate Director, Archives and Records, this role provides subject matter expertise on FOI and oversees a team providing information management services across the University.   

The Team Leader, FOI and Records oversees development, delivery and review of services to University staff, leading and mentoring a small team. The role provides high-level, expert advice to decision makers and business units by exercising judgement and sound analytical skills.

To be successful in this role, you will be motivated and organised with demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills. You will have demonstrated experience in FOI management, highly developed stakeholder engagement skills, a strong focus on client services, and experience in synthesising and preparing a range of documentation.
