The Senior Research Management Officer will be a part of the Research Management team in the College of Health and Medicine (CHM) Administration. The Senior Research Management Officer is responsible for the provision of research administration, application support, post-award processes, tailored advice to academic clients, analysis of data, and subsequent implementation of policies, procedures and business processes as appropriate. This is a full-time, key administrative role delivering high quality research management support to research scientists within a supportive team environment.
The successful applicant will be an experienced administrator with: strong customer service focus; well-developed liaison skills; and the abilities to prioritise competing deadlines, interpret and provide strategic advice on policy and research funding guidelines, and exercise judgement and initiative. Ideally, successful applicants will have demonstrated experience in research management (preferably with grant application review experience) in a research institution. Excellent administration and organisational skills are essential, together with the ability to solve problems independently and work cooperatively as a member of a team.
Science qualifications, including science communication, experience in research funding agency administration, and/or experience in research development will be highly regarded, but are not required. An interest in the science of health and medicine is a must!
