Position overview

The Respectful Relationships Unit's primary tasks are to oversee the development of whole of university policy and strategies to address sexism, sexual assault and sexual harassment and working with the University to bring about cultural change to effect the University’s vision of a fully inclusive campus which is safe for all staff and students.  It is also be responsible for providing both information and case management for those affected by sexual assault or sexual harassment, for education and training programs for both staff and students, for the communication of policies, procedures and developments and for establishing comprehensive, centralised data collection and reporting systems.

The manager, with support of the Senior Manager, will lead a diverse team to achieve the strategic objectives of the unit. This will include work across communications, community engagement, primary prevention programs, policy, data collection and reporting. The successful candidate will need to maintain a knowledge base of current best practice and be able to work across the emerging needs of the community and the team.
