The Australian National University (ANU) College of Science is seeking an experienced manager and leader to join its executive team.
The College General Manager, provides strategic leadership as well as facilitating and enhancing the performance of the College through the provision of operational and business services. In partnership with the Dean, the General Manager ensures that the College is able to deliver its core business of research and teaching. The General Manager is accountable for the achievement of operational plans, for the provision of accurate financial and resourcing advice, and for high-quality service-delivery across the College’s professional staff teams. The General Manager also represents the interests of the College externally, both within and outside the University.
It is expected that the appointee will have extensive experience in the management of financial, human and material resources, the ability to work collaboratively to achieve College priorities in a complex operating environment, and an ability to lead teams and to foster productive working relationships to achieve successful outcomes.
