Salary package: $98,009 - $111,365 per annum plus 17% superannuation

The ANU College of Asia and the Pacific (CAP) leads intellectual engagement with the Asia-Pacific region through research, teaching and contributions to public debate, and seeks to set the international standard for scholarship concerning the region.
The Coral Bell School of Asia Pacific Affairs forms part of the ANU College of Asia and the Pacific and is dedicated to advancing analysis and understanding of the international, political, societal, and strategic affairs of Asia and the Pacific. The School is constituted by five academic operational areas: Asia-Pacific College of Diplomacy; International Relations; Political and Social Change; Department of Pacific Affairs; and Strategic and Defence Studies Centre.
The Asia-Pacific College of Diplomacy (APCD) promotes high-quality research, teaching, and training in diplomacy. As the only such centre in the southern hemisphere, APCD serves as the focal point for diplomacy at The Australian National University – generating research on diplomacy, providing high-quality teaching, delivering diplomatic training, convening seminars and conferences, hosting visiting scholars, and implementing externally funded research projects.
The APCD is looking to recruit an early-career scholar at the Lecturer level with a diplomacy research background to deliver diplomacy courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students. The Lecturer will contribute to APCD’s research, educational and training programs.
The successful applicant should have strong research interests in negotiation theory and practice, desirably as exercised in the Asia-Pacific region. Candidates should have strong pedagogical and interpersonal skills, and have developed, or show the potential to develop, interactive and innovative teaching and training skills. The successful applicant will be comfortable teaching both graduate and undergraduate courses as well as short, practice-based courses.
