Position overview

The Division of Student Administration contributes to the University's strategic objective to provide an excellent educational experience for its students through delivery of accessible and supportive administrative functions throughout the student lifecycle. The Division's student related support services include the management of: enrolment and progression;  fee invoicing and cashiering; scholarships; examinations; prizes; graduations; timetabling; general enquiries; student card; transcripts;  student communications and quality advice on ANU student related policy and rules as well as compliance with national and international regulations. 

The Senior Timetabling Officer is responsible for the delivery and maintenance of a centralised automated constraints based timetable.  An integral part of the role will be to refine the processes and further develop the Timetable‚Äôs visibility to the wider University. The successful applicant will have staff supervision experience and expertise in the timetabling software package Syllabus+ and, if possible, will have a background in the automated processes.  The successful applicant will be pro-active in communicating and sharing their knowledge and skill with other staff in the team and the wider University. Continuous improvement is an integral part of this role.
