Position overview

University House is the ceremonial heart of Australia's National University, and a heritage-listed property that incorporates a boutique hotel and functions and events venues. Its commercial businesses serve University staff and graduate students, visitors to and guests of the University, and members of the community.

We are seeking a professional, enthusiastic and knowledgeable Event Coordinator to join the Sales and Events team. You will use wide industry knowledge to develop, implement and manage a range of events that include intimate high level VIP gatherings to large scale celebrations that cater for thousands at a time whilst delivering on revenue budgets and sales targets.  You will work within a team strongly focussed on their role within the University as well as representing University House within the corporate market. Key stakeholder engagement includes ANU clients and external clients, a proven ability in managing and building stakeholder relationships is desirable.

Your day-to-day duties include working strategically with the Events and Sales Manager, working towards budgets and targets, regular reporting on trading performance, client management, assisting in marketing activities and representing University House at networking events. 

You will work alongside the Food and Beverage team to ensure a smooth undertaking of the events and support the teams to excel in customer service. As part of the University House team, you will display a high level of personal presentation, professionalism and team spirit in all circumstances to ensure the best possible outcome for the House and ANU.

As a member of a busy department, you will have excellent administration and communication skills, a commitment to continuous improvement and high attention to detail.
