An exciting opportunity exists for an exceptional internal communications specialist to join the Service Improvement Group at the Australian National University.  A dynamic and high performing team awaits you!
 
The Role

The Australian National University is ranked among the top 20 universities in the world, delivering outstanding education, research and innovation.  The Service Improvement Group (SIG) within the ANU, is committed to the continuous improvement of the University's administrative services.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop, coordinate and implement strategies to inform and engage staff in the service improvement agenda of the University and provide professional communications advice to support the delivery of improvement projects and activity.  You will also be an expert adviser to leaders and colleagues on leveraging internal communications strategies and channels and you will provide expertise on communications techniques and strategies to maximise the outcomes of business transformation initiatives.

You are a best-in-class communicator, both written and verbal with strong experience working in a dynamic team delivering change and business transformation across a large and diverse organisation.

You will be a self-starter, comfortable wearing many hats, and have a keen ability to accommodate tight deadlines and shifting priorities.  

Your technical competencies include:

  • Excellent knowledge of best-in-class internal communications processes and practices
  • Deep experience with internal communication, change management and customer engagement strategies
  • Strong project management and internal stakeholder management
  • Comfortable and experienced in engaging with senior leaders
