Position overview

Opportunities exist for motivated individuals with experience in research contract review and negotiation to work in a newly established University Contracts Office at the Australian National University.  The ANU is a research intensive university with academics committed to solving problems through big picture and applied research.

The University Research Contracts Office sits within the ANU Research and Innovation Portfolio. The ANU is committed to expanding its research focus in line with the 2017-2020 Strategic Plan to increase engagement with industry and business. The University Research Contracts Office has been established to support the ANU's Strategic goals and provide a focus for expertise in the review and negotiation of research and research related contracts.  The office will be organised into two teams; Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) and Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics and Medical Research (STEMM), in order to best cater for the 7 ANU academic colleges.

The Senior Contracts Officers will report to the Leaders of the HASS and STEMM teams and work closely with each of the seven College Research Offices across the University. The Contracts Officers will be responsible for liaising with the Legal Office and other Research and Innovation Portfolio areas to provide advice and support in the review and negotiation of research and research related contracts.
