Position overview 

The ANU Archives is seeking an enthusiastic team player keen to help make archives accessible through digitisation. This position would suit someone seeking an introduction to the archival profession.

As Archives Assistant you will play an important role in making archival records accessible to users by digitising selected records and adding them to our digital repository with descriptive metadata. You will also describe records in our database, assist with retrieving records from the repository for users and help preserve the collection by housing records in archival quality packaging.

The position reports to the Senior Archivist under the broad direction of the University Archivist and works closely with all members of the Archives Program. We welcome applications from people with experience in digitisation and data entry, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to work effectively as part of a small team.
