We're looking for someone who is well rounded, capable of covering all aspects of project development from business analysis through to software development and release. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced highly dynamic environment and highly motivated then we welcome your application.
As a member of the Informatics Technology (IT) team, you will play a primary role in transitioning from a legacy colony management system to a third party open source replacement system written in Java. This will require a deep understanding of the operating procedures of the facility and the various user/researcher interactions with the database system. You will be required to work with other APF staff including animal technicians, project managers, academics and APF clients.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in business skills, analysis, design and software development. Excellent communication skills are required to steer meetings, presentations and demonstrations to key stakeholders and business managers.
