The Australian National University (ANU) is seeking to appoint a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager with demonstrated success in senior project management in a complex and technical setting, while effectively managing people, resources and time frames.

ANU is undertaking a major business transformation program which includes the implementation of a new Research Information Management System (RIMS) that will go beyond administrative efficiency and drive change priorities from the perspective of researchers, addressing multiple key business challenges including marketing, publication profiling, open access, individual and research group web presence and institutional reporting. It spans all research support activities from the conception of research ideas through to the promotion of research outcomes achieved.

The ANU has an outstanding international academic and research reputation and is Australia's leading research University, being both research intensive and research led. 

Reporting to the Program Director, the Program Manager will lead a team of 20+ professionals with a 'hands on' approach to manage the RIMS Program.  The team will include the Business Transformation Manager, Project Managers, Business Analysts and Applications Manager, and will engage with the ANU Research and Support community and with ITS.

To be successful in the role you will be an outstanding leader with a proven track record of managing large teams while remaining hands on and involved. You will have extensive Program Management experience in both the business and Information Technology space. You will immerse yourself in the ANU culture, embrace opportunities for change and translate these into pragmatic business process and IT solutions that will enhance the Research environment at ANU.
