Type of Appointment: Continuing (Contingent Funded) appointment of an initial appointment of 2 (two) years. The appointment may be extended subject to availability of a further funding.
The Department of Quantum Science, Research School of Physics and Engineering, spans the spectrum of research, from fundamental investigations into quantum mechanics and gravity through to commercialization of advanced technology.
The Department is seeking an early career academic to join the research team led by Associate Professor Nick Robins and Professor John Close. The successful candidate will pursue an intensive theoretical research program aimed at developing quantum sensors and understanding fundamental cold atom systems. Applicants should have a track record of excellence in research and scholarly endevours, a strong publication record and demonstrated ability to work closely with experimentalists.
